Phil Barr

Phil is a growth-oriented leader with more than 15 years of experience building, scaling, and transforming healthcare organizations across diverse business models, most recently serving as the President, Markets at Point32Health (Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare and Tufts Health Plan). There he oversaw all health insurance and diversified businesses with full P&L responsibility for $10 billion in revenue and 2.2 million members. He also led enterprise strategic planning, marketing, M&A, and the organization’s Venture Fund. Prior to Point32Health, Phil served as the Chief Growth Officer at Gateway Health Plan where he had full P&L responsibility for $2.5 billion in revenue and 350,000 Medicaid members. Phil has also held senior leadership positions at Clover Health, CareCentrix and Aetna. Prior to his time in health care, Phil worked in financial services, with roles at Liberty Mutual, American Express and Perella Weinberg Partners.

Phil holds a B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

The son of a public-school educator, Phil’s lifelong passion for learning shapes his leadership style and commitment to developing people and communities. He serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Boston.
