Joyce Williams, Senior Advisor of Employee Relations at Memorial Hermann Health System, spoke with Stephen Kramer, President of Bright Horizons at Solutions at Work LIVE 2016, to discuss the evolution of Joyce’s 26-year career with Memorial Hermann. Joyce advanced from receptionist to multiple director-level positions through a combination of the career pathing offered at Memorial Hermann and the continued education she could participate in because of her employer’s education assistance programs. Through tuition reimbursement and loan repayment supports, Joyce was able to not only earn her Bachelor’s Degree, but also her Master’s Degree; not to mention gain assistance with paying for her student loans. Joyce describes herself as loyal and dedicated to her employer, and even adds that having these supports allowed her to “dream big.” Watch the video to learn more about her journey.
