Bright Horizons at Wake Forest Baptist Health Turns Five

Wake Forest Anniversary

November 1, 2018 – Bright Horizons at Wake Forest Baptist Health celebrated five years of providing early education and care in the Winston-Salem community of North Carolina.

Located on the medical center campus of Wake Forest Baptist Health, the child care center is open to hospital employees along with those in the Winston-Salem community.

At a recent anniversary celebration, families and staff from the center enjoyed an afternoon with fun sports activities, autumn photo stands, a sighting of the pink fire truck, and a visit from the staff from the Pediatrics Department of Wake Forest.

Celebrating five years is especially rewarding since the center was recently given a five star license from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education, the highest awarded license a child care center can receive.  The State of North Carolina uses a star rated licensing system for all eligible child care centers and family child care homes to demonstrate the high quality of care each center is providing.  With more than 75 percent of the staff at Bright Horizons at Wake Forest Baptist holding an associate degree or higher in early childhood or a related field, the center achieved the state’s highest quality standard.
