UPDATE: Bright Space Renovations at Bushwick Family Residence in Brooklyn, New York
As part of The TODAY Show’s Shine-a-Light initiative, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children® has been working with host Willie Geist to raise awareness about homelessness in the United States, and help create a Bright Space for children at the Bushwick Family Residence in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, 2.5 million homeless children live in the United States.
Alongside its partners - Volunteers of America of Greater New York, Team Depot, and Pottery Barn Kids - wonderful progress has been made in the Space. The Bright space will be a safe, clean, bright and happy place where families can go to study, eat, play and spend time with each other and most importantly, provide a sense of “home” for as long as they need to be there. Donations raised will go toward the Bright Space project at the Bushwick Family Residence, and others like it through the Bright Space program.
Check out this update video and some great photos that capture the amazing progress that has been made in the Bright Space. And make sure to tune into the TODAY Show on Thursday, December 18th for the big Bright Space reveal!
