Bright Horizons Named a Top Work Place in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe

Bright Horizons Family Solutions today announced it has been named to The Boston Globe's annual “Top Places to Work” in Massachusetts for the fifth time.

The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback, based on a survey of nearly two dozen questions that measure three critical elements of the workplace: direction, execution and connection. The survey asks employees to rate their organization on several factors including appreciation, management practices and career opportunities.

“This recognition underscores our belief that a company’s most valuable asset is its employees,” said Bright Horizons Family Solutions CEO David Lissy. “We know that our ability to do great things as an organization rests on the great people in our Bright Horizons family who are committed to our work and our mission every day. It is our employees who make us a great company to work for and each and every member of our family is responsible for our collective success.”

“We are a proud company with a long-standing devotion to creating work environments that celebrate employees’ professional and personal accomplishments,” said Mary Ann Tocio, President and Chief Operating Officer at Bright Horizons Family Solutions. “Being recognized as a Top Workplace in Massachusetts is truly a testament that the Bright Horizons culture doesn’t just reflect what we do -- it defines who we are.”

Earlier this year, Bright Horizons commissioned the Bright Horizons Modern Family Index, a survey that uncovers the challenges working parents in America face today. The survey showed that when employers build supportive work cultures that allow employees to have the freedom to manage their family responsibilities and to be involved at home, they are more likely to be more productive when they are at work.

The Top Places to Work survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. The full list of Top Places to Work will be featured in a special section in the Boston Sunday Globe on November 16.  The link to the report can be found at bostonglobe.com/topplaces.
