Employers Want to Train Workers but Are Swimming in Options

January 7, 2020 – In a Wall Street Journal article about workplace education, reporter Lauren Weber highlights clients Lockheed Martin and The Home Depot for tailoring their tuition assistance programs to meet the needs of both the employees and the organization. 

At Lockheed Martin, for instance, “more than half of jobs related to STEM—science, technology, engineering and math—don’t require a college degree, so the company updated its tuition-assistance policy in April 2018 from a degree-based model to include coverage of short-term certificates.”
