Seattle Bright Horizons Centers Host Truck Day Event and Collect Over 1,500 Books for Mary’s Place
June 24, 2025 – Over the weekend, Seattle area Bright Horizons centers came together to host their annual Truck Day event at Bellevue College in Bellevue, WA. Families had the chance to get up close and personal and explore the big trucks and emergency response vehicles that keep their community running.
“We look forward to our Truck Day event every year,” said Ali Rock, Regional Manager at Bright Horizons. “The event brings the community together in a fun and educational way and gives families a chance to connect with one another all while learning more about their favorite fire truck or dump truck.”
Truck Day event attendees were also asked to bring a book to donate to contribute to the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children and Growing Readers book drive for Mary’s Place. Mary’s Place is a Seattle and King County nonprofit that helps families experiencing homelessness. In addition to the Truck Day book drive, 34 Seattle centers each hosted a book drive for Mary’s Place. In total, over 1,500 books were donated to Mary’s Place for children in their programs.
