A Case Study in Effective Benefits Education

March 22, 2024 – In an article for CharterPro about how employers are focusing on strategies for raising awareness about employee benefits through ERGs and other tools, the author references how Guardian partners with Bright Horizons to bring employees back-up care benefits. 

While many organizations struggle to reach employees about their benefits—one August 2023 survey found that fewer than a third of employees surveyed have a good understanding of the benefits available to them—insurance company Guardian Life sees a high rate of awareness and utilization. Take their back-up child-care benefit, which is provided through Bright Horizons: “Our registration actually surpasses their book of business by about 10%,” says Dijanira McCloskey, Guardian’s head of health and wellbeing benefits, “We've got about 36% utilization rate currently.”
