Working Parents Need Help Before the Economy Can Thrive Again

May 28, 2020 – In an opinion piece in Barron's, Bright Horizons CEO Stephen Kramer shares his thoughts on why child care is such an essential piece of helping businesses thrive again. 

"Recent employment statistics show that among married couples with children, almost two-thirds have both parents employed. Before the coronavirus pandemic, approximately one-third of children under 5 attended an organized care facility, including childcare centers, preschools, and prekindergarten programs. There is a reason that so many families rely on outside childcare, and governors across the country have cited the importance of childcare in reopening the economy."
