We offer summer camp for preschool and pre-kindergarten students. In addition we have a school-age summer camp for children 6 -12 years olds. Contact us to learn how to sign up!

Yes, we offer preschool for children 3 - 4 years old and a pre-k program for children 4 - 5 years old.

Preschool is a big year. We’ve designed our program to give you complete confidence in every aspect of your child’s experience; from health and safety; to ready-for-school curriculum; to the full support of experienced teachers. Just as important, our program is based on what research says best prepares children for kindergarten…and all the big steps ahead. Click here to learn more about our preschool program.

Yes, this Ballard child care center offers infant care for children 6 weeks to 1 year old.

Infant care has to do more than look right — it has to feel right. You want to know your child is safe and well cared for. Our infant program is designed to offer a secure place with knowledgeable teachers who honor your family’s routine, and who know every day that they’re not caring for any child, but the most important child — yours. Click here to learn more about our infant program.

Our center is located in the Ballard Blocks II building along with Kaiser Permanente.  Look for the PCC Community Markets parking lot and follow the signs to the underground garage.  At bottom of ramp, turn right – you will see the labelled Bright Horizons drop-off and pick-up parking spaces. The door to left of the parking spaces is the entrance to the elevator; we’re located on the third floor.

You can also park on PCC’s surface level parking lot for up to 90 minutes. After parking, you’ll want to walk to the courtyard between Kaiser Permanente and West Marine to find our building’s entrance. Once inside, locate the lobby elevators, as our center is located on the third floor.

We are located just north of downtown Seattle in Ballard. Ballard Block 2 will be home to our center.

This depends on your child’s age, temperament, and level of maturity. General tips for preparing for the first day of child care include:

  • Developing a relationship with your child’s teacher and keeping communication open
  • Labeling all items
  • Making sure your child has the essentials: bottles, extra clothes, diapers, blanket, and more
  • Talking about the first day with your child
  • Setting expectations for the new morning routine
  • Getting ahead of separation anxiety by creating a “goodbye” routine together

Additional information on our research-backed curriculum can be found here. To find a center near you, click Find a Center in the top right corner of the Bright Horizons home page.

Please submit an inquiry to your center(s) of interest with a request for tuition information. We recommend scheduling a visit at the same time (this can be done on the same form).

Safety is our top priority, and it’s part of our everyday routine. All of our centers follow expert-informed health, safety, and security policies and allergy protocols. Additionally, health, safety, and wellness are built right into our curriculum, and our classrooms and spaces are safely designed for learning and exploration.
