Materials Needed:
- Smooth stones or sticks
- Ribbons or other household materials
Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction.
Directions:
- Offer the stones, sticks, and other materials to your child. Say, “What could we build with these?”
- Demonstrate a few possibilities, such as laying the stones out in a spiral, straight line, or path. Perhaps you could stack some of the stones to make a tower.
- Let your child explore and work with the materials; add other items to sustain interest.
