Empowering Educators and Parents: Insights from the Spark Summit

Insights from the Spark Summit

In the ever-evolving landscape of early childhood education, staying up to date on the latest research and insights is essential. As leaders in the early education space, Bright Horizons is committed to providing exceptional child care solutions and empowering educators and parents with the education resources they need. Our inaugural Spark Summit, hosted by the National Center for Early Education Excellence, exemplifies this commitment.

From November 27 to December 17, the Spark Summit brought together ten esteemed early education experts, including advisory council members, partners, and Bright Horizons leaders. The goal? To translate cutting-edge early child care research into actionable strategies for educators and families alike. The sessions covered a wide-range of topics crucial to child development, including resilience, executive function, early math, and language development, among many others.

Designed to accommodate the busy schedules of educators and parents, the Summit spanned multiple days and offered self-guided, self-paced tracks. This format ensured that participants could engage with the material at their convenience, fostering a deeper and more meaningful learning experience.

Rachel Robertson, Vice President of Education and Development for Bright Horizons Family Solutions and Executive Director of the National Center for Early Education Excellence, emphasized the Summit's mission: "One of our main goals is to make research usable. High-quality early education lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning and success. Our aim is to bridge the gap between research and practice, ensuring that the latest insights are readily accessible and applicable to those working with young children."

The success of the inaugural Spark Summit paves the way for similar events in the future. We are thrilled to announce that the next summit is slated for this May, promising even more opportunities to delve into the latest research in early childhood education.
