I Spy Numbers

A collection of items used for a game at day care

This adult + child interactive activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to demonstrate an understanding of number names, order, and quantity. A perfect activity for utilizing common items around the house!

Materials needed:

  • Numerical items (measuring spoons with numbers on them, playing cards, etc.)
  • Toy animals or people
  • Dominos
  • Other small toys (be sure that none of your items are so small that they may be a choking hazard)
  • Tray(s)

Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction

Estimated time spent to prepare: 15 minutes

Estimated time to complete activity: 30-60 minutes
