Carol Howard

Director, Education Quality and Inclusion

Carol Howard is an expert in child development and high-quality early care and education programs, with decades of experience leading community-based programs serving young children and their families. Before joining Bright Horizons, she spent 10 years as a senior leader in an innovative public-private partnership known as Educare. She was also the Director of Fostering Futures Wisconsin, a state-wide organization addressing issues of trauma and toxic stress. Carol has deep knowledge of early childhood, training, and instructional coaching with a special interest in teacher development and serving infants, toddlers and their families. She joined the Bright Horizons team in 2021, after working as an Early Childhood Advisor to the YMCA of Metro Chicago. There, she developed content for and facilitated professional development communities with a special focus on using children’s books to strengthen their anti-bias approach. Carol has a degree in Bilingual Education from Boston University and her infant specialization from The Erikson Institute.
