This activity is geared toward children in preschool, pre-K, and elementary school, and requires adult participation and interaction.

What You Need for this Activity

  • Piece of Paper
  • Writing Utensil

How to Do this Activity

First, discuss with your child all the things you and your family can do to keep yourselves healthy. You can write them down on a piece of paper together, if desired.

These things might include:

Then, encourage your child to take ownership of their own wellness by playing a game together in which your child acknowledges when someone is doing something healthy – including themselves! You can decide how to and how often you share these findings as a family. Maybe you share at a set time each day or week, or every time they notice a healthy behavior.

What Your Child Learns

By doing this activity together, your child will be able to positively identify good hygiene and wellness routines they do themselves and see others doing as well. Even better, it’s a way for the whole family to get involved in modeling and encouraging each other to practice healthy habits.
