What You Need
- Plastic watering cans
- Cups and beach toys
Your child can use a watering can, cups, and beach toys to play with the water and soapy suds. He can fill the toys up with water and pour it out — even on himself. This can be a great way to wash away soap and shampoo, too.
What Your Child Learns
Through this activity, toddlers explore water in a fun, safe setting. They explore science concepts like volume and gravity, and they think about cause and effect questions, e.g., "What happens if I dump this?" or "What happens if the water overflows?"
