Long Jump

This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to use large muscles to explore and interact with the environment.

Materials Needed:

  • Journal or paper
  • Writing implements
  • Blocks

Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction.

Directions:

  1. Have each person jump from a line on the floor.
  2. Use the blocks to measure how far each person jumped.
  3. In their journal, have the child draw the number of blocks you each jumped.
