October 10, 2019 – As a leader and innovator in early childhood education, Bright Horizons voices support of the National Association for Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) most recent initiative on “Advancing Equity in Early Childhood Education.” Endorsed by more than 100 organizations, this announcement is one of NAEYC’s five foundational statements and at the core of its mission. Bright Horizons is a longtime NAEYC member and aligned with its philosophy of inclusion.

“We proudly consider ourselves allies in NAEYC’s mission,” says Rachel Robertson, Bright Horizons Vice President of Education and Development. “Many of the recommendations align with our established philosophy and practices. However, we recognize that our work in embracing equity, diversity, and inclusion is an ongoing journey.”

Bright Horizons’ research-informed curriculum was designed by experienced educators to inspire children not just to learn, but to think, wonder, and question on their own. This approach was developed with all children in mind to develop future learners, leaders and citizens.

NAEYC is a professional membership organization that works to promote high quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. Bright Horizons is a longtime NAEYC member.
