Bright Horizons Recognized as One of the “Best Places to Work” by the Boston Business Journal

[WATERTOWN, Mass., May 6, 2011] Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, the world’s leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education, back-up care, and work/life solutions, has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the “2011 Best Places to Work.” This marks the fifth year in a row that Bright Horizons has been named to the list.

“We are honored to be named to the BBJ’s Best Places to Work list,” said Bright Horizons Chief Executive Officer David Lissy. “This year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary as an organization so recognition like this has added significance. As we have grown from one child care center in Cambridge to an organization that provides a full array of innovative work/life programs, we have been steadfast in our mission to helping working families. Throughout that time, our success has always been dependent on our employees who provide the highest quality in everything that we do for children families and our clients. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment and dedication.”

The Best Places to Work list is based on surveys completed by employees who live and work in Massachusetts. Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 18,000 employee-satisfaction surveys. Employees answered questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement and relationships with co-workers and supervisors. The results were analyzed and scored by assigning points to each question.

The organizations named to this year’s list will be recognized on June 9. Click here for the entire list or to learn more about the program.
