Bright Horizons Honored as “Best Place to Work” by the Boston Business Journal

[WATERTOWN, Mass., April 26, 2012] Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, the world’s leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education, back-up care, and work/life solutions, has been recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Boston Business Journal in the large companies category. This marks the sixth year in a row that Bright Horizons has been named to the list.

“We are honored to be named to the BBJ’s Best Places to Work list,” said Bright Horizons Chief Executive Officer David Lissy. “Our mission of supporting working families by providing employers with innovative work/life programs depends on our own employees being passionate about what they do. It is our goal to support their well-being by helping them develop and grow professionally as well as in their personal lives. We are proud of our strong company culture and continue to be humbled by our employees’ commitment to creating great work environments and supporting each other on a daily basis.”

The survey project to determine who makes the list was launched in January by the Boston Business Journal in conjunction with market research firm Quantum Workplace of Omaha, NE. Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 18,000 employee-satisfaction surveys. Employees answered questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement and relationships with co-workers and supervisors.

The companies on this year’s list will be recognized during an event on June 1 and profiled in a special supplement of the Boston Business Journal. Click here to learn more about the Best Places to Work program.
