Message from Bright Horizons CEO about the Pittsburgh Synagogue Tragedy
October 29, 2018
A message from Bright Horizons CEO Stephen Kramer:
Dear Bright Horizons Family,
Today, Bright Horizons stands strong with the City of Pittsburgh and our Bright Horizons employees, families, and clients whose community was devastated by Saturday’s tragedy at the Tree of Life Congregation.
It is unfathomable to me that in our nation - where we stand for justice, liberty and freedom - that we should have to mourn once again for innocent victims who were peacefully devoted to their faith. Our places of worship, our schools, and our neighborhoods all deserve to be free from hate, bias, and senseless acts of violence.
We cannot accept division as our new norm. We cannot become complacent in the face of perpetual violence. We cannot sit by and hope things will get better.
At Bright Horizons we have the unique and important responsibility to make meaningful change. Through education, we come together to make a lasting difference in this world and in the communities where we live and work. That is more important now than ever.
Thank you all for making a difference and for standing with Pittsburgh, the Jewish community and all humanity.
In sympathy and respect,
Stephen
