Bright Horizons at Pembroke Turns Misfortune into Holiday Magic

December 21, 2018 – Earlier this year, Bright Horizons in Pembroke was impacted by a flood, and the center accrued many large cardboard boxes when replacing furniture and materials.

This surplus of cardboard boxes inspired the idea of building a Holiday Village in the lobby of the center. Each class chose a different building or town landmark, most of which came from direction of the children themselves, and the students and teachers began construction.

While the Holiday Village construction was fun for all involved, it was an even better exercise in STEM learning, and progressive/collaborative art.
