Bright Horizons Named to Center for Companies That Care 2019 Honor Roll
March 21, 2019 – Bright Horizons has been named to the Companies That Care 2019 Honor Roll, a national list recognizing employers for outstanding workplace practices and active community involvement that reflect employer engagement. Bright Horizons was named for the 12th consecutive year.
"We are thrilled to be recognized again by Companies That Care for the commitment that our employees demonstrate each day when they come to work," said Bright Horizons Chief Human Resources Officer Maribeth Bearfield. "Our employees were chosen for this list because of the everyday work we do to support families, clients, and each other, and especially for going above and beyond to make a difference in the communities where we live, work, or see an unfilled need."
A group of Bright Horizons employees traveled to the US/Mexico border in McAllen, Texas to create a Bright Space at The Humanitarian Respite Center, which serves as a "ground zero" for migrant families who have come through McAllen’s processing center.
The Honor Roll celebrates U.S.-based organizations of all sizes in diverse industries. The list includes privately held and publicly traded organizations as well as not-for-profit employers representing multiple industries and states.
Honor Roll employers are selected for their adherence to all 10 Characteristics of socially responsible employers. Each consistently makes meaningful investments in its employees and in society through community service.
Most recently, Bright Horizons demonstrated its ongoing commitment to employees by launching the innovative Horizons Teacher Degree Program to provide its own early childhood educators with a free associate and bachelor’s degree with no out-of-pocket expenses.
