Bright Horizons Awarded CDA Gold Standard Training Certification
WATERTOWN, Mass., July 28, 2017- The Council for Professional Recognition awarded Bright Horizons the Child Development Association (CDA) Gold Standard Training Certification on Thursday, July 27, 2017.
Bright Horizons was given the new, three-year CDA Gold Standard Training Certification in recognition of the company’s commitment to advancing professional development for CDA students. To receive the certification, Bright Horizons met the Council’s criteria in the fields of professional recognition, certification, accountability, collaboration, and acknowledgement.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the council with the Gold Standard Training Certification,” said Rachel Robertson, Vice President for Education and Development at Bright Horizons. “Bright Horizons is committed to the field of early childhood education, and we are happy to provide our teachers not only the education, but our support, guidance, and encouragement. Our teachers make a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families we serve, and at Bright Horizons, we understand how investing in their careers is essential for our collective success.”
In an effort to help early educators grow and develop their careers, Bright Horizons developed an eCDA program, which is a high-tech, high-touch, interactive e-learning curriculum that takes an innovative approach to preparing teachers to earn the CDA credential. With this innovative program, Bright Horizons has guided more than 2,500 eCDA graduates in the company.
Earning the CDA credential validates teachers’ professional competence while qualifying them to meet requirements for nearly all state licensing authorities and National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC) Accreditation, and Bright Horizons proudly offers its eCDA program at no cost to its employees. In qualifying for the CDA Gold Standard Training Certification-Comprehensive, the Gold Standard Reviewer confirmed Bright Horizons provides CDA students with support throughout the entire credentialing process and demonstrates sound business policies and practices and provides quality student services.
