November 14, 2025 – Bright Horizons recently marked reached an impressive milestone for its Horizons CDA & Degree Program, marking 5,000 graduates since the program’s inception. This first-of-its-kind program offers full-time employees in Bright Horizons early education centers and preschools the opportunity to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, associate, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education —completely tuition-free. The program covers all expenses, including fees and books, removing financial barriers and empowering educators to advance their careers without incurring out-of-pocket costs.

“I am so proud of the 5,000 early educators at Bright Horizons who have completed their CDA or early education degree through our Horizons program,” said Bright Horizons Chief Academic Officer Rachel Robertson. “This is a true testament to their commitment to our field and their passion for the work.”

This commitment is evident at Bright Horizons at Windermere in Windermere, FL, where Center Director Jenelle, a Horizons CDA & Degree Program graduate herself, has made the program a cornerstone of her team’s professional growth. Each year, she encourages groups of educators to enroll together, fostering a supportive learning community. Currently, one teacher who earned her bachelor’s degree is mentoring another teacher three times a week as she works toward her associate degree. At the most recent graduation, seven teachers from Jenelle’s center earned their CDA, associate, or bachelor’s degrees — a powerful example of how the program transforms careers and strengthens early education.
