March 13, 2024 – Every year during Women’s History Month, Bright Horizons celebrates and honors the role that women have played throughout history. With 94% of Bright Horizons employees being women, the organization is committed to providing all employees with time to reflect on the women that have made a difference in their lives and an opportunity to educate young learners about gender equality.

“Bright Horizons is a strong proponent of equity across all of our services and for all of our employees, and gender equality is a huge piece of that,” said Bright Horizons Chief Financial Officer Elizabeth Boland.

On March 5, employees were encouraged to participate in the Professional Women’s Employee Advisory Group’s (EAG) Women's History Month call, ‘The Superpower of Supporting Women. The call featured a panel discussion with the EAG co-chairs and three Bright Horizons employees about inspiring inclusion and what it means to them.

In honor of International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, employees showed support on social media by participating in the #InspireInclusion challenge by sharing how they inspire inclusion in their daily lives. At Bright Horizons at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC, staff and teachers dressed as influential women throughout history to honor those who made change. While staff and teachers at The Children’s Center at Taco Bell in Irvine, CA wore purple, the color of IWD, to celebrate the incredible women in their lives.
