March 7, 2023 – Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the many contributions women have made in the past, and also a time to honor the women making a difference today, both individually and within the larger context of society.

For employees at Bright Horizons’ corporate offices and early learning and child care centers, Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on the women that have made a difference in their lives and an opportunity to educate young learners about gender equality.

In centers, staff and teachers display books and artwork about the lives and contributions of women teachers, musicians, athletes and artists. At Bright Horizons at Mill Valley in Mill Valley, CA , a teacher used her display as an opportunity to teach the children about women who have made an impact in the transportation industry like aviation pioneer, Amelia Earhart. While teachers at Seay Child Care Center in Plano, TX, displayed images and anecdotes of notable women in history including author and poet, Maya Angelou and education activist, Malala Yousafzai.

All employees are encouraged to listen to the Professional Women’s Employee Advisory Group’s (EAG) Celebrating Women's History Month call. The call features a discussion with the EAG co-chairs and Bright Horizons Chief Client and Experience Officer, Priya Krishnan. Priya reflects on her career and the women that have made a difference in her life.
