Little Milestones That Are Secretly A Big Deal For Kids

April 20, 2022 – In a Huffington Post article about important milestones for kids beyond their first steps, Bright Horizons Vice President of Learning & Development Rachel Robertson shares advice on what milestones parents should be looking for during their child’s developmental stage. 

“Social-emotional milestones are being able to recognize emotions in themselves and others, and demonstrate compassion,” Robertson said. “Maybe they share something with a friend who is sad or offer you a hug without prompting. This shows you that they’re developing perspective and empathy.”
