Bright Horizons® and EdAssist® Win Coveted 2014 "Learning In Practice" Awards
[WATERTOWN, Mass., October 6, 2014] Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, a leading provider of high-quality child care, early education, educational counseling, and other services designed to help employers and families address the challenges of work and life, today announced that it has been honored with two 2014 Learning In Practice awards from Chief Learning Officer magazine.
Considered one of the highest honors in the workforce development field, the Learning In Practice awards recognize industry leaders that have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee education programs.
Bright Horizons was awarded a silver "Practitioner" award for its new, video-based training program for the more than 5,000 teachers the company hires annually. The enhanced program trains new teachers in 12 core competency areas related to their care and education of children, and support of families through a series of short video clips, hands-on practice and on-going competency assessments.
EdAssist®, Bright Horizons’ comprehensive managed education solution for employers, which administers tuition reimbursement programs and provides educational advising for their adult learners, was honored with a gold "Provider" award. That award recognizes qualified service providers, vendors and consultants for their work on behalf of a client organization.
EdAssist earned the award for its ability to modernize a client’s tuition reimbursement program while helping to address the company’s evolving corporate learning needs. As part of their management of the program, EdAssist provides educational and financial advising to the company’s employees; access to tuition discounts and waived fees through EdAssist’s Education Network of accredited schools and academic partners; program administration and policy consulting.

The awards were announced at the fall 2014 Chief Learning Officer Symposium in Carlsbad, California.
