Bright Horizons believes that running a strong business goes beyond the bottom-line. Our culture, our fabric, is our commitment to our Global community and most importantly, the children and families we support. Bright Horizons founded the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, a 501(c) 3 entity, in 1999. The Foundation’s goal is to aid in our mission of "making a difference in the lives of children and families and in the communities where we live and work." In the past five years, the Foundation has accomplished more for children than anyone thought possible, both in Bright Horizons’ centers and in our communities.

Bright Spaces, the flagship program of the Foundation, creates play rooms for children in homeless shelters, has grown quickly. Our clients, other nonprofit's, and recently even city governments, such as Nashville and Philadelphia, have partnered with the Foundation to create Bright Spaces and help brighten the lives of thousands of homeless children. They now have 125 Bright Spaces open across the country and expect to open more each year.
