M. Britt Sinha
Director of Benefits
Britt is the Corporate Director, Benefits, Health and Wellbeing at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. In this role, she develops strategy for providing a comprehensive, companywide program of employee benefits and services to ensure the attraction, retention and motivation of all employees. This includes the development of NYPBeHealthy, the Employee Health & Wellbeing program. Britt has direct responsibility and oversight for the development and operational management of the program and providing comprehensive integrated programs and services that are proactive, relevant and effective in managing the highly complex, diverse and ever-changing health and wellbeing needs of the workforce.
Britt graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, completed a dietetic internship at Ball Memorial Hospital in Indiana and is a Registered Dietitian. She later received her Masters of Business Administration from Montclair State University. Britt is also a Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management.
Prior to coming to NewYork-Presbyterian, Britt was with Meridian Health Systems in New Jersey for almost 10 years and served in various roles across the Health System including Registered Dietitian, Food & Nutrition Manager, Business Manager of Surgical Services, Manager of Guest Relations and Manager of Health and Wellness.
Britt is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, NYC Nutrition Education Network, and the Society of Human Resource Management. She is passionate about educating people on ways to improve their quality of life and overall wellbeing, is a new mommy, and in her free time, loves shopping at farmers markets, sustainable organic eating, traveling, and exploring new cities.
Lilee Gelinas
Editor-in-Chief, American Nurse Today
Lillee is an accomplished healthcare leader with extensive experience in hospitals and healthcare system operations, including national and international organizations. A highly-respected executive and administrator, she has led the development and implementation of numerous clinical and operational initiatives, through current state assessment, goal setting, decision-making structure, process creation, and building the will for change across stakeholders. She is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), a credential which attests to professional competency in patient safety science and application.
Her expertise reflects an exemplary career spanning a range of nursing leadership and executive roles, from staff nurse to national system chief nursing officer, including military service in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. Currently, she is a member of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Nursing Steering Committee, the National Quality Forum Patient Safety Steering Committee and most recently assumed the co-chair position for The Joint Commission Nursing Advisory Council. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, in recognition of significant, sustained contributions to the profession and is active with the academy’s Nursing Informatics and Technology Expert Panel.
Since June 2014, Gelinas has been Editor-in-Chief of American Nurse Today, the official journal of the American Nurses Association, a peer-reviewed publication owned and published by HealthCom Media. Having served on the editorial board since its inception in 2006, she contributes editorial commentary, content and direction to advocate for nurses, advance the profession and enhance patient care.
In addition to her outstanding professional credentials, she has presented hundreds of live and video presentations, across national and international audiences. An talented and progressive leader, she is a dynamic speaker and communicator who is committed to advancing innovations in care delivery, leadership and professional practice excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration and high quality, safe care.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a master’s degree in nursing, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania where she also studied at the Wharton School of Business. She is currently enrolled at Duke University, where she is pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, focusing on Executive Leadership.
