WATERTOWN, Mass., April 11, 2013 - - Bright Horizons announced today that it has been selected by ExxonMobil to operate the child development center on the company’s new campus in Houston.
The center, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2014, will offer full-service child care and education for infants through pre-kindergarten, along with school-age programs. The center will feature small class sizes, low ratios, and teachers trained in early childhood education. The center’s curriculum will place a strong emphasis on the development of language, math, science, and social skills and incorporate the key elements that contribute to a child’s readiness for school and academic success.
"We are proud to have been chosen to support ExxonMobil employees at the new campus and to be a part of the organization’s commitment to support their workforce,” said Bright Horizons CEO David Lissy. “By providing employees with high quality, reliable child care and early education for their children, leading companies, like ExxonMobil, are affirming that supporting employees’ family responsibilities helps them to thrive professionally and personally."
With the number of families with two working parents at an all-time high, high-quality, reliable child care at work or nearby is an important benefit. According to recent studies, 90 percent of parents using full-service child care centers say that access to a center at or close to their workplace improves their productivity at work.
Bright Horizons will operate the center according to the highest standards of excellence.
