  • Former admissions officer at College of the Holy Cross

Background: I joined College Coach after working for 12 years in college admissions. I started my career as an admissions counselor at College of the Holy Cross, where I traveled across the country meeting students and visiting high schools. I reviewed and made decisions on approximately 500 applications a year, supervised the admission tour guides, coordinated the transfer process, and served as the athletic liaison for several of the Division I athletic teams including hockey, baseball, field hockey and softball. I joined the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Babson College in 2004. As the senior associate director, I was responsible for all admissions communications, including both print and electronic marketing. I also coordinated staff domestic and international travel, scholarship selection, and the athletic recruitment process.

I have worked with students interested in:
  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Pre-med
  • Pre-law
  • Business Journalism
  • Art
  • Computer science
  • Honors program
  • Ivy League
  • Large state schools
  • Small liberal arts colleges
  • Religiously affiliated schools
  • Research universities
I have also worked with:
  • Athletes
  •  International students
  • Transfer students
  • Students with learning differences
  • First-generation students

Why I joined Bright Horizons: The admissions process is an extremely stressful time for both students and parents. Looking back on my own experience, it’s a wonder my mother and I are still speaking! As a first generation college student, my family and I had no idea how to navigate the application process. It doesn’t have to be this way. With the proper guidance, focus, preparation, communication, and organization it can become less stressful and more enjoyable. I joined College Coach because I want to use my experience and knowledge to guide families through the process.

Hobbies: Baking, spinning (so I can keep baking!), spending time with my family, catching up on my favorite shows Homeland and Mad Men.
