Background: I started my career in higher education as an admissions officer at my alma mater, Brown University, where I recruited students from a wide variety of places, ranging from rural South Dakota to inner city Boston to my hometown of Bellevue, Washington. While at Brown, I reviewed and made decisions on thousands of applications to the undergraduate college. I was also a member of the selection team for the Program in Liberal Medical Education, Brown’s combined baccalaureate-MD program. After working at Brown for several years, I joined Columbia University’s School of General Studies as an assistant director of admission and assistant dean of students. One of my favorite experiences at Columbia was working as the Dean of Students Office’s liaison for Columbia’s dual BA program with Sciences Po in France. Following my time at Columbia, I worked as a college counselor at an international school in Belgium and as the director of college counseling at a French school in Westchester, NY. I am grateful to have helped guide so many interesting and talented students from the US and abroad in pursuing a wide range of studies from the visual arts and pre-law to business, economics and everything in between.

Why I joined Bright Horizons: Throughout my time working in the field of education, I have worn many hats, but the thing that I have enjoyed the most is helping to demystify the college application process for families. Applying to college can be a daunting and confusing endeavor. For many families, it is difficult to even know where to begin! It is rewarding for me to share the knowledge I have gained during my time working in admissions to help students put their best foot forward when applying to college. Looking back on my own college experience, I feel fortunate to have attended colleges that were a great fit for me, allowing me to grow both intellectually and as a human being. I love helping match others with “right fit” colleges through my work at College Coach.

Hobbies:Traveling, listening to music, working on art projects, visiting museums, eating tasty food, relaxing on the beach, rather unsuccessfully trying to learn Czech.
