Christine Kenyon
College Admissions Consultant
Former admissions officer at Babson CollegeI first encountered the world of undergraduate admission as a student volunteer in the Boston College Office of Undergraduate Admission. While I was pursuing my graduate degree, I received a graduate assistantship in BC’s admission office, where I worked part-time as an admission counselor. This is when I truly fell in love with undergraduate admission, and, as the saying goes, the rest is history! After receiving my master’s degree, I accepted a position in admissions at Babson College where I reviewed applications from domestic and international students. At Babson I oversaw the scholarship process, transfer admission, and served as a co-coordinator of multicultural recruitment. I also worked closely with many of Babson’s first-generation college students and served as the advisor to the Babson Admission Mentors program. Most recently, I worked as a professional reader and Interviewer for the Morehead-Cain Foundation at UNC Chapel Hill and the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program (a partnership between Duke and UNC).

I have had a passion for education ever since I studied secondary education as my major at Boston College and launched a career in undergraduate admissions upon graduation. I joined College Coach to share the experiences I have gained working in the admission offices of four different institutions with students and families embarking on the often-overwhelming college admission process. After reading thousands of applications for both undergraduate admission and scholarship awards, I’ve learned that you don’t need to be the top javelin thrower or beat-boxer in your state to catch an admission officer’s eye. All you have to do is open up and show what your passions are - and we can help with that. My goals are to bring a sense of calm during this important decision-making process and to help each student let his or her most authentic self shine through in the application. Most importantly, I strive to help each and every student find the right fit for life after high school.
