Maybe not as much as you think.

Back in the fall of 2019, many working parents told the 6th annual Bright Horizons® Modern Family Index they’re so afraid of judgment, they’d rather lie about family responsibilities than risk the career consequences of speaking up. While all of our worlds have changed in the months since the survey was conducted, the implications for organizations are still concerning, given that millions of parents are in the workforce, many rising up in the ranks just as they’re having children. A previous Modern Family Index showed more than half are willing to sacrifice pay for more family friendliness, signaling that organizations could be losing key people to competitors willing to see employees for all of the things they are.
