National Work & Family Month

Well it is National Work & Family Month by an act of Congress! I wonder if members of Congress plan to spend a little more time with their families in the spirit of the act. Even though the economy is still limping along, companies can take a moment to recognize the intersection of work and family and note how that intersection can be a source of energy for an employee's overall well-being. Keep in mind: We can't manufacture more time, we can only choose how we will spend it. So how about it senior leaders, perhaps now is the time to communicate to employees that this month should be special. Maybe you can take the lead by encouraging employees (by example) to try to make it home for dinner a few extra days this month.
