"Best Companies to Work For" -- The Fortune List is Out!

Fortune List Best Workplaces for Women
It's a big day around Bright Horizons today - we just got named to the Fortune list! Even better ; we get to share the honor with a whole lot of organizations we're lucky enough to call clients.

Best Companies ; in More Than Name Only

For 20 years, Fortune has been providing the 100 "Best Companies to Work For" list, assembling what they call "the most extensive employee survey in corporate America" (more than 200,000 employees!) and recognizing organizations for important elements like benefits, culture, leadership, and more.  The best scores get a shoutout as one of the magazine's top 100. "Winning a spot on this list indicates the company has distinguished itself from peers by creating a great place to work for employees," says Great Place to Work, Fortune's partner for the list.

Best Companies ; Year After Year

The high-fives are all around. But we know today's celebration is just one day; what matters more is what happens on the other 364 days of the year. And looking at the 100 companies on the list (and more importantly, their reputations as unquestionable financial success stories), it's clear that what's happening on the other 365 days are some pretty outstanding performances by some really engaged employees. That's no surprise. These days, bottom lines are built on more than products and services ; they're built on strong cultures that recognize employee satisfaction as the secret sauce; where working parents know it's ok to take care of their families; and where leadership knows that assistance for employees benefits the organization as well as the workforce.

As our CEO Dave Lissy likes to say, in this day and age, companies need to realize that supportive cultures aren't a "nice to have" but a "must do." "Our clients," Dave told us, "are prime examples of companies that understand the connection between supported employees and solid financial returns." We're thrilled about this year's results and ecstatic that more than half of the companies on the list are Bright Horizons clients (7 of the top 10!) and that our services have helped many of today's top employers stay on the list year after year. Congratulations to all of this year's Best Companies. Here's to your great FORTUNE!
