Yes, this Skokie child care center offers infant care for children 6 weeks to 1 year old.
Infant care has to do more than look right — it has to feel right. You want to know your child is safe and well cared for. Our infant program is designed to offer a secure place with knowledgeable teachers who honor your family’s routine, and who know every day that they’re not caring for any child, but the most important child — yours. Click here to learn more about our infant program.
Yes, we offer one of Skokie's top preschool and pre-kindergarten programs.
Preschool is a big year. We’ve designed our program to give you complete confidence in every aspect of your child’s experience; from health and safety; to ready-for-school curriculum; to the full support of experienced teachers. Just as important, our program is based on what research says best prepares children for kindergarten…and all the big steps ahead. Click here to learn more about our preschool program.
Yes, we do! Our camp is available for ages 3-6 years.

We have declared Bright Horizons at Skokie a nut-safe zone. We will do everything in our ability to keep nut products out of the center. We will not order any foods that contain or are prepared with any nut products, nor will we knowingly serve any such products to a child or adult who has a known allergy.
We are asking that all families do everything possible to ensure that any foods brought in for birthdays or special events (including items that are for the staff or adults) do not contain any nut related products. Please make sure that you read all labels before purchasing items to bring into the center. Lastly, many cakes made in specialty or bakery shops contain nut residue from products made throughout the day – we encourage store brought products with ingredients carefully labeled.
Due to the environmental health best practices that we follow in our classrooms, EHCC has given our center their stamp of approval. Our teachers and staff work hard to ensure that our center benefits the well-being of young children by complying with environmental health guidelines put in place by the EHCC. By following these guidelines, our preschool eliminates or reduces environmental health hazards and ensures the safest possible space for your child to grow and thrive!
Some of the many EHCC safety guidelines that we follow include:
- Using fragrance-free household chemicals such as cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting products
- Avoiding lead by using only cold water for drinking, cooking, and making baby formula
- Using only non-toxic art supplies approved by the Art and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI) labeled with the AP (Approved Product) seal
- Avoiding soft pliable plastic products and plastic toys made out of PVC and instead only using products labeled PVC-free or phthalate-free

This depends on your child’s age, temperament, and level of maturity. General tips for preparing for the first day of child care include:
- Developing a relationship with your child’s teacher and keeping communication open
- Labeling all items
- Making sure your child has the essentials: bottles, extra clothes, diapers, blanket, and more
- Talking about the first day with your child
- Setting expectations for the new morning routine
- Getting ahead of separation anxiety by creating a “goodbye” routine together
Please submit an inquiry to your center(s) of interest with a request for tuition information. We recommend scheduling a visit at the same time (this can be done on the same form).
Safety is our top priority, and it’s part of our everyday routine. All of our centers follow expert-informed health, safety, and security policies and allergy protocols. Additionally, health, safety, and wellness are built right into our curriculum, and our classrooms and spaces are safely designed for learning and exploration.
