Bright Horizons Awarded Alliance for Work-Life Progress Seal of Distinction for Third Straight Year

[WATERTOWN, Mass., -- February 11, 2014] Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, a leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education and work/life solutions, today announced that it has been awarded the Work-Life Seal of Distinction from WorldatWork’s Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) for the third straight year.

AWLP created the Seal of Distinction in 2012 as a way to recognize employers that demonstrate leadership in workplace strategies that allow employees to achieve success both at work and in their personal lives. Bright Horizons was recognized for its wide variety of workplace policies and programs that support employees across all major aspects of work-life integration.

"At the same time we are collaborating with hundreds of our employer clients, helping them to achieve their workplace goals, we are also striving to ensure our own employees feel they have the flexibility, support and opportunity they need to thrive at work and at home," said Bright Horizons Chief Executive Officer David Lissy. "We are so proud to again be recognized by the AWLP along with so many other employers that understand that helping employees to manage both professional and personal obligations yields a productive and engaged workforce."

Bright Horizons is committed to supporting employees and conducts regular surveys to measure well-being and employee satisfaction. These surveys help the organization gain a better understanding of what pressures employees face both professionally and personally, and how those stressors impact their day-to-day lives.

Organizations that were considered for the AWLP Seal of Distinction were evaluated on the breadth and depth of their work-life portfolio and had to provide evidence of their support of dependent care, health and wellness, workplace flexibility, financial support, paid and unpaid time off, community involvement and efforts to transform organizational culture.
