Full Service Child Care Center
It is important to note that many factors affect center demand including, but not
limited to, average age, commute distance and patterns, work shifts, supply of care
in the community, and tuition rates. The projected demand is based on Bright Horizons
Consulting Practice's proprietary survey database.
Turnover - Investment impact studies conducted by employers sponsoring
work-site centers have shown that access to high-quality reliable work-site child
care dramatically increases employee retention rates. A child care center can help
to reduce voluntary turnover by 50% of employees who otherwise would have left the
organization.
Absenteeism Savings - Savings assumes the center eliminates approximately
2.5 days of absenteeism per center user who would typically be absent due to breakdowns
in their child care arrangements (e.g., nanny sick, provider on vacation, center
closed). This projection excludes days missed related to sick children.
Back-up Child Care
Projected Center Utilization- This is a preliminary projection of usage
that may vary based on workforce demographics, and the scope of the back-up program offered.
Annual Absenteeism Savings - Assumes the back-up care program eliminates
75% of the absenteeism from care breakdowns and therefore increases the productivity
of employees.
