Bright Horizons Canada

Bright Horizons offers an array of services in Canada including a variety of child care programs, such as full-service centres offering high-quality care for children ages six weeks through 12 years and dedicated back-up care centres. Additional centre-based options include school-age programs and part-day nursery school programs.

Centres can serve a single employer-sponsor or a small group of employers, and may be open to community enrollment.

Bright Horizons Early Education and Child Care - Markham

The first Bright Horizons centre in Canada opened on the campus of IBM in Markham, Ontario in October 2001. In addition to offering full service child care for children ages six weeks through 12 years, we offer integrated emergency back up child care care.

Other amenities include French Immersion as well as music, dance and arts.

With a capacity for 173 children, the centre serves employees of IBM, other nearby employers, and community families.

CIBC Children’s Center - Toronto

After experiencing back-up care at its offices in New York, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) partnered with ChildrenFirst, now part of Bright Horizons, to bring back-up care to CIBC’s world headquarters in 2002.

In it’s first year of service offering back-up care to over 800 families, the CIBC Children’s Centre saved CIBC 2500 work days, with a productivity savings of 1.2 million dollars. In its fourth year of service, with over 6,700 work days saved since opening, the CIBC Children’s Centre offers back-up solutions to more than 2000 CIBC families.

Bright Horizon’s Consulting Practice

The Bright Horizons Consulting Practice, globally experienced in full service, back-up, early education, and work/life solutions, is well-versed in Canadian dependent care and work/life issues.

The Consulting Practice can assist employers with questions as focused as the feasibility of one centre in a specific location, or as broad as how to integrate child care within a menu of work/life programs.
