Imagine a place filled with toys and games. A place with warm nooks for reading, snuggling, and learning. With costumes that transform you into a fairy princess or an astronaut. A place where friends are made and lives are changed.

Our Mission

Helping homeless children grow and develop by giving them the chance to play.

We Provide

  • Safe, educational, stimulating playrooms for homeless children
  • Approximately 300 square feet
  • Areas and activities for various ages and interests
Funding

Usually an amount of $10,000-$15,000 depending on the size of room and age ranges served is provided by a Bright Space sponsor.

How to Create a Bright Space - 5 Easy Steps

  1. Call the Bright Horizons Foundation at 615-256-9915 x1845 or e-mail to discuss the Bright Spaces program and request initial information.
  2. Determine your level of financial commitment.
  3. Work with your Bright Horizons center director to interview and select your shelter partner, then apply for Bright Horizons Foundation for Children approval.
  4. Participate at your desired level of involvement in site visits and design meetings.
  5. Cut the ribbon and celebrate that you are making a difference!

Bright Spaces is growing rapidly. We have opened over 119 Bright Spaces across the country with 30 more in development.
