At Bright Horizons, an integral part of our mission is to make a difference in the lives of children and families in the communities where we live and work. Our curriculum includes Toward a Better World: Helping Children Make a Difference, a program that provides opportunities to develop empathy, compassion, and social awareness. We teach children to be aware, responsible citizens of the world; to protect the earth; celebrate all people, and reach out to their communities and to those in need.

In 1999, The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children was founded to brighten the lives of children, youth, and families in crisis. The Foundation strives to make the world a better place by creating comforting places for children in crisis to grow and play, strengthening their families, supporting our communities, sharing our knowledge, and encouraging others to join us in making a difference.
