Dwayne serves as president of the governing board of the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition and on the advisory committee of the National Black Child Development Institute. Dwayne has previously served as president of the Housing and Economic Development Financial Corporation of Kansas City, president of the Board of Curators of Lincoln University, and a board member of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Dwayne has published several articles on issues affecting children and families and is frequently called to give testimony on child care legislation pending before local, state, and federal government bodies.
Prior to joining Bright Horizons, Dana was the co-founder and co-president of the Families and Work Institute (FWI), a nonprofit research firm, where she focused on business, government, and community efforts to help families care for their dependents. Prior to the seven years at FWI, Dana was a senior research associate at the Conference Board, a nonprofit business think tank, where she created the Work and Family Information Center in 1983.
At a national level, Ms. Klein is Chair of The Conference Board's WorkLife Leadership Council, a member of The Conference Board's Diversity Council, and a member of Boston College's Work and Family Roundtable. She is also a founder and current Co-chair of The Employer Group, a partnership of employers engaged in identifying quality of life solutions for hourly workers. She is a frequent speaker at local and national business conferences and spoke at the Ten Downing Street Summit on Women in the New Economy.
Ms. Lange is a co-chair of the Indiana Child Care Fund Advisory Board, a public/private partnership with the objective to improve the quality and availability of early childhood education statewide. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center on Families at Purdue University, and the Conference Board Work/Life Leadership Council. She is also a member of the Steering Committees for the Boston College Work and Family Roundtable, and the Purdue University Midwest Work/Family Association. Ms. Lange holds an MBA from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Purdue University.
Jim is the author of seven books and more than 100 articles, and produced the PBS Documentary, “Fatherhood USA.” In 1997, Working Mother magazine named him as one of the “top 25 men in America who make a difference in the lives of working mothers.” In 1998, ABC's 20/20 profiled his work, and The Wall Street Journal selected his most recent book, Working Fathers: New Strategies for Balancing Work and Family, as one of the top ten work/life books of the year.
