Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, a leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education and work/life solutions, today announced that it has been awarded the Work-Life Seal of Distinction from WorldatWork’s Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) for the fourth straight year.
AWLP created the Seal of Distinction in 2012 as a way to recognize employers that demonstrate leadership in workplace strategies that allow employees to achieve success both at work and in their personal lives. Bright Horizons was recognized for its wide variety of workplace policies and programs that support employees across all major aspects of work-life integration.
"The President recently focused much of his State of the Union address on the need to better support working families. At Bright Horizons, helping our clients support their employees who care for loved ones has been our business for nearly 30 years,” said Bright Horizons Chief Executive Officer David Lissy. "We are beyond proud to again receive this recognition from the AWLP for supporting our workforce in all aspects of life as they help others do the same."
The AWLP Seal of Distinction assesses seven categories of effectiveness that comprise a best-in-class work-life portfolio in today's workplace, including caring for dependents; health and wellness; workplace flexibility; financial support for economic security; paid and unpaid time off; community involvement; and transforming organizational culture.
"This year's Work-Life Seal of Distinction honorees are an exceptional group of innovative leaders that strive to create a company culture that encourages work-life balance," said Anne Ruddy, president and CEO of WorldatWork and executive director of AWLP. "We have several companies reappearing from last year's list and we recognize those employers for their continued support in shaping our workplace with strategies and practices that enable employees to achieve success both at work and home."
