In January 2009, The Consulting Practice at Bright Horizons® launched a study to measure the effect of
employer-sponsored child care on working parents in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The group heard from
more than 350 parents who utilised an employer-sponsored nursery at 33 organisations throughout England,
Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
The analysis of this data provides a comprehensive examination of the value of employer-sponsored child care
to the workforce — and the potential repercussions on organisations that do not provide this work/life support.
