Staff, families, friends and client all joined in with Walk On Events during the
week of Saturday 23rd June 2007, to raise awareness of the work of the Bright Horizons
Foundation for Children, to raise funds for future Foundation projects and to enjoy
each others company taking part in a fun activity which would benefit others.
We could not have wished for a wetter week than the week of 23rd June if we had
tried. In previous years this has always been a hot sunny week. Not this year. This
gave Bright Horizons employees, families, friends and clients the opportunity to
show what they were really made of...and many of us walked for miles in the cold
and wet to prove how resilient and spirited we really are!
Well done to all who took part in or supported a Walk On event. Thanks for the time,
effort and care that went into making each and every Walk On event a success. As
yet we do not know the total amount that has been raised from Walk On events but
we do know is that a considerable sum has been raised and that this money will go
directly to brighten the lives of children in our communities. Some of you have
commented that you hope this will become an annual event and we too hope that it
will.
