Information About the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children Grants Program

The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children Foundation Grants Program provides money to select nonprofit organizations that Bright Horizons employees volunteer their time with. Bright Horizons employees may apply for these grants, as can nonprofit organizations that have a volunteer who is also a Bright Horizons employee. The three grants are:

Founders Grants:
The Founders Grants Program provides general operating grants up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations that serve at-risk children age 12 years and under, with an emphasis on the early education years of children ages 0-6. The application is reviewed each quarter by the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children grants committee.

Gleason Grants:
The Gleason Grants Program is named in honor of the president of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, David Gleason, and provides $250 grants to qualified nonprofit organizations receiving 40 hours of volunteer service from a Bright Horizons employee. Eligible nonprofits include organizations that do not support at-risk children.

Make a Difference Grants:
These grants are part of the Bright Horizons Annual Awards of Excellence Program. Bright Horizons employees who are greatly impacting their communities are honored with a Make a Difference Award, which includes a $500 contribution made in their name to the nonprofit organization of their choice. To receive a Make a Difference Award, Bright Horizons employees must be nominated by colleagues each year through the Bright Horizons Awards of Excellence Program.
