Awards & Recognition

At Bright Horizons, we recognize the talents of dedicated, creative, and hardworking people who care passionately about children, families, and each other. Receiving a Bright Horizons award is an affirmation of our mission and an important way that each of us can take an active role in celebrating one another’s accomplishments. We have a number of recognition awards and events to celebrate leaders at Bright Horizons, people who are truly making a difference in the lives of children and families every day.

Awards of Excellence

The Awards of Excellence program recognizes members of the Bright Horizons family who have shown exemplary achievement in areas that directly contribute to Bright Horizons’ mission. Through these awards, we recognize that individuals support each element of our mission — children, families, client partners, employees, our organization, and the communities where we live and work. Winners are chosen during an annual process where parents, customers, and peers submit powerful written nominations, and in most areas winners receive their surprise awards at a formal recognition event.

TeamWorks!

Our TeamWorks! teacher incentive program rewards teachers for individual and team performance, and their direct contributions to the success of their center. Employees earn a recognition gift for each year of service to Bright Horizons and earn special rewards at milestone anniversaries as well.

Annual Employee Appreciation Celebration

While Bright Horizons prides itself in recognizing our employees throughout the year, one month annually is designated Employee Appreciation Month — a time when employees and parents show special appreciation through small gifts, special events, or simply offering a heartfelt “thank you.” Our Employee Appreciation Web site allows parents and fellow employees to share their thoughts about the impact a special teacher or employee has had on their lives.

Horizons Circle

The Horizons Circle consists of center directors/principals who are chosen based on the results of parent satisfaction surveys, employee satisfaction surveys, NAEYC accreditation, client satisfaction surveys, the financial performance of the center/school, and their tenure in the role of center director/principal. This group serves as an advisory board for the company.

President’s Council

The President’s Council recognizes top regional managers who achieve excellence across a wide spectrum of performance measures. This group serves as an advisory group and provides operations expertise to task forces and committees within the company.

Sunsational Service

The Sunsational Service Awards are one way the employees can say “thank you” to their colleagues for going above and beyond to make Bright Horizons a great place to work. The Sunsational Service program highlights outstanding customer service within the Bright Horizons community, particularly between the field and the home office.

Success Stories

At Bright Horizons, we don't just celebrate the successes of the children we care for — we also celebrate the successes of our employees. We recognize the people who are truly making a difference in the lives of children and families every day.
